iPod stand

I was looking around the ipodlounge forums and saw this iPod stand made from a "reserved" sign at a restaurant that was...permanently borrowed. I had some aluminum bars laying around, and I dedcided to make something like the one I saw. This is probably one of the easiest things I've made to date, and only took about 30 minutes to make (not including drying time for the glue). I cut three pieces of aluminum first- two 8" pieces and one 2.5" piece. I then bent the long two at the 5" mark until I had an angle that looked good. I took the shorter piece and glued it with J-B Weld as a brace, but only after I had very carefully made sure everything was square and even. Then I simply stuck on four rubber feet I bought at a craft store and put on two strips of non-slip rubber from those things that help people open stuck jars with some double-sided tape. Mother's Aluminum and Mag Polish, which is avaliable at any auto department or supply, shined it up nicely. If you need any more explanation, please email me. Below are a few pictures of the finished stand.
